When spring finally decides to show its pretty face, you’ll want a glass of this sangria in your hand! I used a rosé wine from Trader Joe’s, blood oranges, raspberries and fresh basil. The flavors are sweet, tart, herbal and perfect for a warm spring day on the patio!
For a stronger kick, add a dash of Solerno and for a lighter taste, top with seltzer water!
- 2 Bottles of Rosé
- 4-6 Blood oranges sliced
- 1 C Raspberries
- 3-5 Basil leaves
- ¼ C Basil Simple Syrup
- For the Simple Syrup:
- ¼ C Sugar
- ⅓ Water
- 4-6 Basil leaves
- Bring sugar, water and fresh basil to a gentle boil for 10 min and allow to cool.
- Poor wine, oranges, raspberries and fresh basil into a pitcher.
- Stir in simple syrup.
- Let chill in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours, or add ice and serve immediately if you don't want to wait!
